Message	I remember checking my Miata a few years ago and when I moved from NJ to NY it said it "might have been sold" or something to that affect...just that the title was moved to another state, but somehow made it sound like it transferred owners too, which it obviously did not. And I'd probably agree with the 12 month thing. That's plenty of time for a large, expensive problem to rear its head if no maintenance is done, while still allowing a few months' downtime for the owner to figure out whether to sell it or not.
